Who, why and where?
Fairfoods was founded by us, Clare and Paul, in 2009. It was born out of our love and respect for animals and desire to show that compassionate vegan alternatives are available, and taste amazing.
If you are looking for delicious catering for an event, we'd love to work with you.
Our experience in catering spans from working in vegan/veggie restaurants to taking part in food fairs and we can now add to that our experience of providing food at weddings, birthdays, festivals, fairs, farmers markets, charity events and office lunches. The numbers we have catered for vary from 10 to 200.
Fairfoods is in Devon, halfway between Exeter and Taunton.
Tell us about your food?
Probably the best way to judge our food is by what others say, so check out some feedback we have received. Our food is suitable for everyone to enjoy, and a good opportunity to try vegan food, if you haven't had it before. Though most people have, in one form or another!
What about catering qualifications?
Clare has a BTEC diploma in vegetarian catering which she studied full time for two years at Plymouth CFE (now called City College Plymouth). She has also taken day courses in raw food preparation run by Karen Knowler and SAF; Japanese vegan cookery; and bread making. Plus a five week course in cake decoration at Exeter College.
What about food hygiene, public liability etc?
Our score for food hygiene is 5. We are insured to £5 million. Both Clare and Paul have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
Why is your food vegan?

Who have been your influences?
Among others, we have been inspired by Veggies and Shambhus, and their help and support is very much appreciated. Two of our favourite recipe writers are Isa Chandra Moscowitz and Ms Cupcake. And what better place to finish than by saying how much we have been inspired by all the animal rights/vegan campaigners we have been lucky enough to meet over the years.
