Who, why and where?
Fairfoods was founded by us, Clare and Paul, in 2009. We are passionate about making delicious vegan food everyone can enjoy and our food is ideal if you are plant-based, vegan or vegan-curious.

Our experience in catering spans from working in vegan/veggie restaurants to taking part in vegan food fairs and we can now add to that our experience of providing food at weddings, birthdays, festivals, fairs, farmers markets, charity events and office lunches. The numbers we have catered for vary from 10 to 200.
Fairfoods is in Willand, Devon. We’re halfway between Exeter and Taunton.
What about catering qualifications?
Clare has a BTEC diploma in vegetarian catering which she studied full time for two years at Plymouth CFE (now called City College Plymouth). She has also taken day courses in raw food preparation run by Karen Knowler and Chad Sarno; Japanese vegan cookery; and bread making. Plus a five week course in cake decoration at Exeter College in 2014. In 2017 she studied Nourish ‘essential raw cuisine’ and Sweet Online (raw desserts) with Deb Durrant, both of these were 2 month online courses. In 2018 she completed Essential Vegan Desserts by Fran Costigan, a three month course run at Rouxbe Online Culinary School.
What about food hygiene, public liability etc?
Our score for food hygiene is 5. We are insured to £5 million. Both Clare and Paul have a Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
Why is your food vegan?
We are both long term vegans, to respect animals and avoid the violence of animal farming.
